Amosun, while unveiling the delegates in Abeokuta, the state capital, called on them to vigorously pursue three major agenda, urging them to argue for the decentralization of the police.
The delegates include: Mr. Fola Adeola, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Chief Olanihun Ajayi, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, Professor Titi Filani, Senators Biyi Durojaye and Senator Iyabo Anisulowo.
The governor, however, said other agenda were devolution of power and re-negotiation for the essence of amalgamation of the country, adding: "We as a state need true federalism, devolution of power and decentralization of the Nigeria police, among other several requests"
While speaking on behalf of the delegates, Olanihun, said it was important for them to realise that those going there are going to try and to correct the serious error committed by the British when they were here.
He said: "The problem really and truly is that Nigeria was constructed contrary to political geometry, that is why we have not arrived as a country because if we have leave together for 100 years and yet there's no stability, there's no concord, there's no harmony, there's no progress, those other countries like Brazil, Indian, China and Russia who were in the same bracket as we in 1960 are now far, far above us and we are far below them, why? Olanihun added: "It is because of failure to observe political geometry but we pray and hope that when we get there, God being our helper, we will, as Nigerians unitedly and in the spirit of give and take, arrive at solution that will bring peace and progress to this country."
